Civil War Reenactment

My photos were featured in Mullica Hill Life magazine, January 2014 edition.
"The American Civil War, was fought from 1861 to 1865 in the United States
after several Southern slave states declared their secession
and formed the Confederate States of America.
The states that remained were known as the "Union" or the "North.

After four years of bloody combat that left over 600,000 soldiers dead
and destroyed much of the South's infrastructure, the Confederacy collapsed,
slavery was abolished, and the difficult Reconstruction process of
restoring national unity and guaranteeing rights to the freed slaves began."
This Civil War Reenactment took place in my home town
of  historic  Mullica Hill, New Jersey
the weekend of October 12th and 13th 2013.

These are heartwarming letters I received from town locals and Civil War enthusiasts:

"Looking at Amie's photos is the closest I've ever felt to
our Civil War ancestors since I started doing genealogy many years ago.
She has captured the pathos, sorrow and fatique that our ancestors must has felt.
Superb job! Thanks to Amie for sharing these photos. They mean alot to me."

"Amie, I've seen THOUSANDS of photos from many events over the years, but I think these are the best I've ever seen. Even though we did not attend Mullica Hill,
I thoroughly enjoyed these photos. Thank you very much for sharing them."

"Amie, Thanks for sharing.
Your photography is very nice. You have a great eye for composition."
